The records described in this inventory are those of the New Jersey Law School Dean's Office from 1908-1942. New Jersey Law School was one of the predecessors of Rutgers Law School-Newark and its pre-legal department was the predecessor of Dana College, one of the entities which ultimately formed the nucleus of Rutgers University-Newark.
