The boxed materials are mostly related to Drummin' Men while the papers within the three filing cabinets contain his general musical research.
This collection contains print and manuscipt music by Paul Villepique, Manny Albam, Russ Garcia, Andy Gibson, Al Cohn, Tiny Kahn, and Bill Holman. Scores are handwritten by arrangers or professionally copied, many by Emile Charlap. A detailed inventory of the collection is available on request.
This collection contains materials related to the Charlie Parker Festival from 1993-2002. It is largely made up of photographs from the annual series of concerts and also contains twenty-six digital audio tapes, ten VHS tapes, three cassettes, programs, flyers, and a box of press and correspondence materials from its founder and former producer, Sam Turvey.
This collection contains music manuscripts for Charlie Parker with Strings sessions. Included are arrangements by Joe Lipman and Jimmy Carroll, as well as unrecorded charts by Jimmy Mundy and Mercer Ellington. Preservation copies are also included in the collection.
