This collection comprises photocopy reproductions of music arrangements. The music features pieces by Paul Whiteman with Bix Beiderdeike, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Sauter-Finegan, and other bands. There are printed and handwritten arrangements.
There are four boxes of Boyd Raeburn compositions organized by arrangers George Handy, Johnny Richards, and George Williams; one box consists of other arrangements for big band.
This collection consists of the papers of The Blackwell Family. It contains two boxes of correspondence dated approximately from 1794 to 1891. The files are arranged by family member and then each folder is arranged chronologically. Box one contains letters received by John T. Blackwell and Lewis Blackwell and there are 10 folders (96 pieces). Box two contains letters received by James H. Blackwell, Oliver H. Blackwell, and John P. Blackwell and there are 14 folders.
The collection consists primarily of personal correspondence, including drafts of letters, and publicity and reviews of Grambs Miller book illustrations. Also included are notes, professional correspondence with publishers and galleries, recipes, and travel memorabilia.
This collection contains twenty-three original artworks for the book Beat Jokes, Bop Humor, and Cool Cartoons. The artwork includes the cover of the book. Many of the cartoon drawings have stencil paper attached with jokes written in pencil.
This collection contains 101 audio discs of test pressings and V-discs. They include recordings of Art Tatum, Fats Waller, Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Mildred Bailey, Count Basie, Woody Herman, and Coleman Hawkins.
