Scope and Contents:

This collection includes 272 metal vinyl molds, seventy-one open reel tapes, and four audio disks. The open reel tapes are primarily recordings of radio broadcasts by performers including Stan Kenton and Max Roach. The metal vinyl molds are mostly related to the activities of the Meritt Record Society (Valburn's record label) which was founded in 1979 and focused on reissues of early jazz releases.
