Scope and Contents
This collection contains audio recordings, personal papers, and files related to Hot House jazz magazine. The audio recordings consist of 482 audiocassettes containing jazz (and some pop) musician interviews (1983-1997). Most files in this collection pertain to artists and include promotional materials, notes, articles, and newspaper clippings. There are copies of Hot House articles written by Kalbacher along with article drafts, reviews, manuscripts, and liner notes. Also included are copies of Jazziz and Down Beat magazine articles, correspondence related to Hot House, and some personal financial documents.
