Scope and Contents

This collection contains business records and seven open reels. There is correspondence to artists Zoot Sims, Ella Fitzgerald, and Duke Ellington regarding royalties and concert performances. There are contracts, invoices, bills, musician union documents, union receipts, and memos pertaining to Jazz at the Philharmonic. Also included are programs for the Pablo Jazz Festival, "Soldiers and Brel" programs, and files. The reels consist of interviews with Granz and JATP spots. Preservation copies on CD are included.

This collection also contains inventories, receipts, and contracts pertaining to his modern art collection. The artwork includes pieces by Picasso, Klee, Leger, Schiele, and Miro.
