Scope and Contents
This collection contains recordings and papers related to the NPR broadcast series Satchmo: The Wonderful World of Louis Armstrong and The Duke Ellington Centennial Radio Project. There is correspondence with the Corporation for Public Broadcasting related to funding. There is also a tape description list for The Duke Ellington Centennial Radio Project, transcribed interviews with jazz musicians, and research interviews with figures including Phil Schaap and Dan Morgenstern. The audio materials in this collection include 208 digital audio tapes, twenty-six cassette tapes, and one CD. The recordings contain artist interviews, research interviews, and live performances.
