Scope and Contents
This series contains short notes, reminiscences, diary-like entries, and observations often jotted on slips of paper, napkins, and cards. The fragments share characteristics of the ephemera file by documenting Hodes' early career in Chicago during the 1930s through various mediums. Also includes short music sketches, song lyrics, and reminiscences written circa 1930s-1040s. Many of the items are undated.
