Typewritten letter dated January 21, 1942 from "Friends of James P. Johnson" with notification of a concert date change and a request for funding. A partially typewritten letter dated March 27, 1947. An undated typewritten letter with JPJ handwritten note. Letter concerns a March 9th performance of The Harlem Symphony. Also, the same letter found in a different folder for the same concert. Folder identifies the date of the letter as December, 1941.
