Scope and Contents
McGhee's professional and personal lives are documented in photographs, which include the works of such noted jazz photographers as Burt Goldblatt, Raymond Ross and Valerie Wilmer. Photos depict his life as a performer and recording artist. The collection includes black and white prints and negatives, and color prints, slides and negatives, contact sheets; publicity photographs; and candid photographs of McGhee with friends and family; and unidentified prints and negatives.
