Scope and Contents
Trombonist Wilbur De Paris's band performs "Sensation Rag '' and "I Wish I Could Shimmy Like My Sister Kate" at the Antibes Jazz Festival in 1960. The same band also performs "Joshua Fit the Battle of Jericho," joined by Sister Rosetta Tharpe (vocal and guitar) and "Lonesome Road," also with Tharpe (vocal and guitar). At 13:40, Bassist Charles Mingus with tenor saxophonist Booker Ervin plays his "Prayer for Passive Resistance." At 22:05, Bud Powell plays solo piano on "Sweet and Lovely." Then Wilbur De Paris and Claude Luter perform "I've Found a New Baby."
