Scope and Contents
The first forty-five seconds of this audio are blank. Then there are two incomplete clips of a television soundtrack. The first is "I'll Remember April" at the Antibes Jazz Festival on July 13, 1960. The performers include Charlie Mingus (bass), Bud Powell (piano), Eric Dolphy (alto saxophone), Ted Curson (trumpet), Booker Ervin (tenor saxophone), and Dannie Richmond (drums). The audio abruptly ends at 4:40 and then continues in the middle of Powell performing "Anthropology" with Lucky Thompson (tenor sax), Jimmy Gourley (guitar), Kenny Clarke (drums), and Pierre Michelot (bass). At 8:25 there is an excerpt of "ll Remember April."
