Folder contents reveal once again the go-between nature of the DC Dean's Office. The DC Dean functions as an advocate of her college's special needs and promotes its special mission, but does not have the authority of a college president with which to guide her particular projects.

Of significance are Dean Cobb's comments which reflect the increasing inclusion of "mature" women in the DC mission statement.
