This folder contains three undated copies of draft correspondence written in ink from George Washington Coakley regarding “The Committee appointed to attend the Mathematical Examination of the Graduating Class, in the Ferris Female Institute, would report that they devoted about five hours to the examination of the pupils at the black-board.” Also in folder, are hand-written notes in pencil with various mathematical equations, particularly geometry and algebra.
