Scope and Contents

Summary: Contained in this series is information on a new college plan that would expand the campus and admissions. Topics discussed here include the following: separation of professional colleges, technology, the continuing role of educational institutions, student college fees and student center information, and meetings with certain committees and commissions. There is also a file on selective service cases, which deals with the possibility of students going to war.

This series also contains information on many disciplinary suspensions. The correspondence discussing each incident that led to the final suspension of each student is included. There is information of policies and procedures of how to discipline the students and what actions need to take place for certain occurrences. Information in Dean Grobman's file includes occurrences of student disruption and violence. Drug and Narcotics information is also included in these files. Some cases of students found with drugs are cited.

Contained in this series is information on a proposal that students who have poor performance in class should not be denied eligibility to extracurricular activities. There is also a file on an outbreak of food poisoning, in which 250 students were affected, which was traced to the student center. These files also include documents regarding interested candidates for different employment opportunities. There is information on equal opportunities, federal aid and financial aid.

This series contains information on food and drug administration and food service. There is information on fraternities and specific chapters and on problems of waste removal at fraternity houses. There is information on fire and safety issues of the college campus, on certain cases of freshman probation, on graduate student housing and graduate school.

This series also contains general correspondence from students, parents, faculty personnel, and prospective students. This includes thank you letters, and letters from students discussing a college experience.
