Scope and Contents
Summary: Files pertaining to the Agreement Between Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey and Rutgers Council of the American Association of University Professors Chapter, 1986-1989. Prominent topics within the series include special salary scales, negotiability, salaries and merit pay, health coverage, healthcare for part-time teach assistants, health and safety, and contract implementation. The RCAAUP and Administration met in special negotiation sessions to address extra compensation for department chairs, department vice-chairs, and graduate directors. Other special sessions were held for asbestos regulations and procedures. The bulk of the material consists of correspondence and memoranda. One also finds proposals, minutes, memoranda of agreement, charts, publications, agendas, handwritten notes, newsletters, and a contract.
