Summary: Files pertaining to the Agreement Between Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey and Rutgers Council of the American Association of University Professors Chapter, 1979-1981. Topics include salaries and merit pay, grievances, agency shop, dismissal procedures and reduction in force contingency plans, fringe benefits, motor vehicle registration, part-time faculty, working conditions and the creation of a safety committee, grant-funded faculty, and TAs and GAs. Material types consist of memoranda and correspondence, minutes, articles, resolution, proposals, memoranda of agreement, surveys, ballots, and a contract.

The "Grievance and Dismissal Procedures" folders derive from a second round of bargaining which commenced after the 1979-1981 contract was approved. In addition to the eponymous grievance and dismissal procedures, these bargaining sessions addressed the agency shop (representation fee) provisions and merit funds (Funds A and B).
