I. General Correspondence Files,, 1962-1972

Summary: The General Correspondence Files series consists of material Schlatter had originally filed under "Miscellaneous Correspondence" "Student Correspondence" and material found in a collection of Provosts' Materials. This series features correspondence from people who may have contacted Schlatter only once or twice (that is, not enough for a separate name file to be established). Some items are copies of correspondence of which Schlatter was neither recipient nor sender, but that one of the parties felt involved him in some way. The "General Correspondence files" contains chronological correspondence with members of the Rutgers community, with members of other academic institutions, and the public. This series also has a folder of Schlatter's memoranda to deans, and two folders of correspondence from students on various Rutgers University issues.
