III. General Subject Files,, 1915-1973

By far the greatest amount of material within the Dean's records, this series includes correspondence and memoranda, as well as other material exchanged between various academic departments and administrative units within NJC/Douglass College. Other records included in this series are proposals (e.g. Eagleton Institute), meeting agendas and dockets (e.g. faculty meetings), and rosters (e.g. faculty status and rank). Smaller amounts of printed reference materials, directories, policy statements, bequest documents, programs of events and speeches are also present. Records from the early period of inclusive dates are sparse. The greatest bulk are from the late 1960's. Only a few items date as late as 1973.
