Includes memorandums and correspondence pertaining to the renovation of warehouse 1601/1602, alternate space allocation for the periodical Trans-action, a three grade notation system, meetings and appointments, enrollment and discipline estimates, the development of the Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Sociology, Economics, Linguistics and Comparative Literature departments, and the need to attract black faculty. Also included are letters detailing Lynton's disapproval that the athletic staff continually neglects to clarify Livingston College's inclusion in the intercollegiate athletic program, and his sentiments regarding the teaching of Swahili and Asian religions. The recruitment of faculty (positions offered, positions accepted, positions not accepted, positions desired, etc.) is also covered; confidential evaluations of candidates are requested, and thank you notes acknowledge their arrival.
