Correspondence and memorandums on the development of academic programs (particularly anthropology), projected department and faculty needs, long range plans for the Trans-Raritan Area, and the transfer of the Department of City and Regional Planning and the Chinese instruction line to Livingston College. Letters of recommendation, letters requesting confidential evaluations of candidates and letters thanking sources for their evaluations are also included. Also incorporated are letters of recruitment to possible faculty members, as well as letters turning down those interested in a faculty position.
