(Diary 18. Brown tweed cloth.) This diary, written during October and November documents Burks's ninth trip to Asia. He discusses in detail the Fukui project and of the skepticism and worries surrounding this project. Page 31 offers an interesting notation regarding a trip back to Anderson Air force base and Burks's memory of seeing the B-29s taking off to bomb Tokyo.
