Summary: This series contains information on a number of sexually transmitted infections and the issues surrounding them. The bulk of the information, however, is concentrated in materials documenting the rise and spread of HIV and AIDS in the 1980s. The variety of information is wide; it includes books, clippings, articles, pamphlets, and advertisements. It also includes some organizations that focused on these issues, including some of the early works of the Gay Men's Health Crisis and the NAMES Project AIDS Memorial Quilt.
