Uncle A. [Elmendorf] visited last week. Examinations to commence Monday; expect to be dismissed Thursday. Boats have stopped running from here to New York; stages go to Amboy to meet the boat there. Will spend holidays in New York if boats do not continue running as far as Kingston.
