Scope and Contents

Summary: These tapes were created as part of the research conducted at the Western Electric Company in Newark in 1968. Each tape lasts approximately two hours and focuses on interviewing respondents with different, but related, positions in the company. There are interviews with keypunch trainees, shop workers, section supervisors, and draftsmen trainees. The tapes correspond to the interviews conducted in the Research Files series, Western Electric subseries.
