Series IV: Research Files,, 1953-1972
Dates
- 1953-1972
Scope and Contents
Summary: The Research records include: grant applications and proposals, grant progress reports and lab notebooks (1953-1972). The research subject topics cover many areas of parasitology such as leishmaniasis and malaria. Most research is tied to Faculty Fellowships and the U.S. Public Health Department, however, there are files on unique research projects; the 1957 Brussels International Exhibit and the U.S.- Japan Cooperative Medical Science Program. Most research grants were conducted from the late 1950s up to Stauber's retirement in 1972. It is interesting to note a possible connection between Series II and III, as most lecture notes are from the 1940s-1950s and with the research grants starting up in the late 1950s, it may indicate a shift in Stauber's duties, transitioning from instructor to researcher.
