Scope and Contents

The materials in this collection includes materials dated from 1942 to 1995, although the bulk of the materials were created between 1942 and 1946. The collection includes two diaries (Dr. Calvin Moon, original; Mr. Chester Szarawarski, photocopy), one scrapbook (Dr. Harold Saks), one musical album (Mr. Barton H. Klion), a US Army-issue New Testament (Mr. Franklin Kneller), memoirs, correspondence, military and veteran's organizations publications, maps, military records, photographs, Rutgers memorabilia and clippings. These materials offer information on: Rutgers during World War II, aerial reconnaissance, submarine warfare in the Pacific Theater, the strategic bombing campaign in Europe, the Liberation of Paris in 1944, military life and activities in the Pacific and European Theaters, and veterans activities.
