Scope and Contents
Summary: The E-mail group contains printouts of electronic mail sent and received by Davis between 1988 to 1997. Topics discussed in this group range from academic in nature to personal. Occasionally, Davis would submit portions of article or book chapters within the e-mails.
The General Correspondence folders (1957-1997) contain correspondence between Davis and his professors, students, mathematics peers, and representatives of mathematics organizations. The subseries contains both academic and personal information and correspondence in reference to projects, travel plans, and conferences. Correspondents include Anne Teppo, Richard Balomenos, Glen Blume, Gordon Clem, Paul Cobb, Dick Lesh, Houghton Mifflin Company, Jeremy Kilpatrick, Oi Chunxia, Zheng Yuxin, Cynthia Warger, and Dora Whittaker.
