Scope and Contents

Summary: Documents the Rutgers College of Nursing's (CN) accreditation process. Includes reports submitted to accrediting institutions (the National League for Nursing, Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools, and the American Nurses' Association), as well as the responses, recommendations, and reports on CN site visits generated by the accrediting bodies.

Reports contain: organizational descriptions and charts; financial and budget data; faculty statistics, research, resumes, and committee info; student data; by-laws; course descriptions; information on buildings, facilities, and the library; and the CN's mission statement, and program and curriculum philosophies.

Also, Rutgers self-study reports prepared by outside consultants, correspondence, report drafts and working files (source materials for reports). Some accreditation reports concern only the graduate program in nursing.

Folders marked CN contain materials generated by CN. All others contain materials generated by accrediting organizations. Working files placed after final reports.
