Scope and Contents

Series 12 contains film and video recordings collected or created by Williams and her manager, Peter O'Brien. It includes film elements of Williams teaching in 1966, as well as other film elements that may related to Joanne Burke's documentary, Music on my Mind. There are several public television recordings, including Williams's appearances on Mr. Roger's Neighborhood, Sesame Street, and several appearances on North Carolina television stations. Her performances are represented by a series of videos at Montreux Jazz Festival in 1978 and her appearance on Oscar Peterson's television program. There are also posthumous tribute concert recordings.
