Correspondence primarily comes from other Elks lodges in New Jersey and from the Grand Exalted Leader of the Grand Lodge based in N.Y.C. Other files include newspapers, meeting minutes, reports, and programs.

Biographical / Historical
Dunellen Lodge no. 1488 Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (B.P.O.E.) was based on Washington Ave. in Dunellen in the 1930s. Presently, the chapter is still in existence (as of 2026), though its name has been changed to "Middlesex, NJ Lodge No. 1488." The lodge is currently located at 545 Bound Brook Rd., Middlesex, N.J.
