Biographical / Historical
William K. Haines (1842-1916) lived in Vincentown, New Jersey and served as a sergeant and first sergeant during the Civil War. He served during much of the war in Virginia with the regiment, was wounded at Gettysburg, and, in December 1864, transferred to the Veteran Reserve Corps. He became a teacher after the war and died in Mount Holly, N.J.
