Dates
- c. 1854-1857
Scope and Contents
Maul, Hebrew & Co. is listed as a customer of the general store and, beginning in February 1856, was charged for purchases made by many individuals, presumably glass workers, including most who had outstanding debts when the store's books were closed in APril 1857. That at least some of these men were glass workers is confirmed by the manner in which they settled their accounts in whole or in part: by "blowing."
Among persons named in the ledger of Maul, Hebrew & Co. are John T. Nixon and Ephraim Sheppard.
