Diary kept by a resident of Bow Hill Mansion in Hamilton Township, Mercer County, N.J., south of Trenton. The diary entries, most without exact dates, are included in spaces provided for that purpose in a volume (entitled "Forget-me-not" on the front cover) with a decorated binding, gilt edges, and alternating leaves of printed texts consisting of Biblical and other religious quotations.

Attribution of the diary is based on a signed entry (p. 108) with details about the diarist's mother, the person's location near Trenton, her indication (p. 132) that her brother DeKlyn was killed at the Battle of Williamsburg, the mention of Willie Barricklo (p. 120) and the reference to someone named Julie [Barricklo?]. Caroline V. Lalor died in 1914.
