Scope and Contents

The first box in the collection contains the ledger (1890-1912, bulk 1904-1909), likely of a machine shop located in Cumberland County, N.J. that primarily relates to the sale of tools to glass manufacturing companies located in N.J. and elsewhere. Two pages of entries at the beginning of the volume date from 1890.

The second box in the collection contains the daybook (December 5, 1904-September 25, 1912 and June 26, 1918-May 2, 1919) kept by a Millville, N.J. individual who was a manufacturer of all kinds of glass factory supplies in iron and steel work. The volume primarily relates to the sale of tools to glass manufacturing companies located in N.J. and elsewhere. The entries include notations regarding payments made. Also included in the volume is a list of bills paid by Eberhardt in 1916-1917 which relate to the construction of a house.
