Edward John Raser Research Files on Middlesex County Cemeteries

Research files, largely gathered while compiling the book New Jersey Graveyard and Gravestone Inscriptions Locators: Middlesex County (Genealogical Society of New Jersey, 2018), which detail the history, size and location of cemeteries and private burying grounds in Middlesex County, N.J., together with data on the existence and locations of related published and unpublished gravestone transcriptions. The documents present include copies of articles of incorporation and deeds, correspondence, maps, press clippings, excerpts from printed histories, pamphlets, and notes, together with identified photographs. The 25 printed maps, 1942-1995, are in the form of annotated 7.5-minute USGS quadrangles, and the approximately 80 photographs are in the form of slide transparencies, 2001-2008 (bulk 2008).
