Scope and Contents
The Francis Eugene Butler papers consist of two manuscript boxes of materials. Included are: Julia Colt Butler's book of collected manuscript poems, 1830; memory scrapbook, 1885-1900; diary, 1889-90; cookery recipe book, ca. 1870-80; photo album of the Butler and Colt families, ca. 1860; Civil War letters, 1862-63; and a private journal, 1846-62.
