Siegfried Sassoon papers

The materials came to SCUA in three different accessions:

1. Includes letters from Edmund Gosse on the contemporary literary scene, 1908-1928. (46 items and 1 envelope.); Letters from Philip Gosse re: personal, literary and publishing trade matters, 1929-1956. (24 items, 3 envelopes, pamphlet and printed obituary.); Letters from Mrs. Gosse and other family members, 1925-1928. (11 items and 6 envelopes.); Miscellany, 1920-1926. (3 items, 1 photograph and 1 envelope.)

2. Autograph manuscript signed of “A Beginning,” with three pages of autograph notes laid in. (27 pages.)

3. [From Richard Seymour] Letters received from Siegfried Sassoon. May 1, 1952-December 16, 1966. (37 pages.)
