Scope and Contents
This series includes material related to various presidents of NAWA throughout the years. While there is information on their terms as president, there is also material that was collected, compiled, or otherwise kept that is beyond the scope of their presidency. This material may date from before or after their terms as president. This material may reflect their ties with NAWA and the art world.
There is limited material on presidents who served terms before the 1950s, with the exception of the material on Elizabeth Cady Stanton Blake, who was president from 1928-1930. The Elizabeth Cady Stanton Blake material dates from the early 1920s through the 1950s and came to the collection through a descendant.
This series contains correspondence and mailings relating to their roles as president of NAWA, as well as material on shows, events, and other matters of interest during their terms.

Material is primarily in English. Other languages present include French, Greek, Hindu, Italian, Arabic, Chinese, Russian.

Arrangement
This sub-series is arranged in chronological order by the years of the presidency of each NAWA president. This is to keep all the files from each president together and maintain the original order of the material. There is one president, Sonia Stark, who held non-consecutive terms; her files are arranged based on her first term as NAWA President.
