Silver
Scope and Contents
Includes the two Taylor family two-handled bowls from Middletown, NJ, one of which is now part of the Hammerslough Collection at the Wadsworth Athenaeum Museum of Art in Hartford, CT, and the Van Dorn family two-handled bowl dated 1699 and now at the Henry Ford Museum. Many of these prints were of items included in the 1937 Philadelphia exhibit of early silver, and illustrated in the 1938 publication that followed titled Three Centuries of Historic Silver. Prominent among the items illustrated are items that descended in the Logan family of Philadelphia, which Netter appraised in 1939.
