Zimmerli Art Museum and the NAWA Permanent Collection
Scope and Contents
This series includes material related to the NAWA Permanent Collection at the Zimmerli Art Museum. This series includes records kept by NAWA as well as records maintained by the Zimmerli Art Museum. Material in this collection includes correspondence (inlcuding correspondence from the start of the partnership), general event planning material, artist lists, donation guidelines, among others. Additionally, from the Zimmerli records there is material regarding NAWA artist submissions and curitorial review of the submissions.

Material is primarily in English. Other languages present include French, Greek, Hindu, Italian, Arabic, Chinese, Russian.

Immediate Source of Acquisition
While the NAWA records regarding the NAWA Permanent Collection at the Zimmerli Art Museum were included in the original donation of the NAWA material, the Zimmerli records of the NAWA Permanent Collection were donated separately. The Zimmerli records were donated in December 2023 directly from the Zimmerli Art Museum.
Arrangement
The material in this series are arranged by where the records originated from (either NAWA itself or the Zimmerli Art Museum). Both the NAWA and the Zimmerli records are organized based on the original order of the material; NAWA records are arranged thematically while the Zimmerli records are arranged in chronological order.
