Scope and Contents
The Journals and Sketchbooks series includes notebooks in which Sperry wrote and drew. These notebooks generally served as both sketchbooks and journals. They primarily include descriptions of trips Sperry took, descriptions of Sperry's feelings about her work, and drawings of people, jewelry, sculptures, and other objects. Of special interest are sketchbooks from her time as a Sarah Lawrence student which show the development of her artistic skills.
