Gouache depiction of a woman, pulling a boy by the hand up a flight of stairs while a cat moves in the opposite direction. Color is almost oppressive here; the green color for the walls partially moves into and dominates the human figures (who are otherwise entirely yellow), and the dark red stairs cut a striking image. There are many minor ink details, such as detailing for either the wood or carpeting of the stairs, but they largely go unnoticed, pushed aside by the gouache. The image is painted on illustration board, which has itself been matted on a larger board.
