Scope and Contents

Lubell 3/7: 171

One of eight black ink and wash drawings (with gouache) from a folder titled Spanish Ballet Costumes, with an additional notation “for Benjamin Zemach, N.Y.C., 1939.” These drawings are of various characters and costumes, presumably done for a New York performance piece. Each identifies the character portrayed. This piece, identified by the names of the two characters, Vera and Ray, is of two women in different poses. Both wear reddish skirts and head scarves. Signed W. Milius. See Lubell 164-171 for similar drawings.
