One of eight black ink and wash drawings (with gouache) from a folder titled Spanish Ballet Costumes, with an additional notation “for Benjamin Zemach, N.Y.C., 1939.” These drawings are of various characters and costumes, presumably done for a New York performance piece. Each identifies the character portrayed. This piece, identified as Sylvia, is of two women, wearing a blouse, skirt and head shawl. One skirt is colored brown and both wear black shawls and gray blouses. Signed Milius. See Lubell 164-171 for similar drawings.
