Black ink drawing (with gouache) depicting a group of children, along with a cat, in various costumes – hats, instruments, and masks. While there are elaborate shadows on the ground, no other background exists. There are penciled notes referring to adjustments in size to be made in a later version or printing of the piece. On the verso are also notes: one, crossed out, appears to refer to the subject of the drawing and the other to how to set up the drawing to be copied and printed. Drawn on illustration board.
