Scope and Contents

Lubell 1/4: 220

Collage of various sculpture pieces, in a milieu that seems to evoke both ancient Egypt and an archaic Mesopotamian civilization. Aside from the photographic cutouts – of a stone bust, a fertility figure or fetish idol, and the statue of a snake – and figural 2-dimensional art. The background is in a marbled, endpaper-style design in pinks and browns. Several papers with line patterns are included, cut in the shapes of pottery. The base material for the collage is a board covered with woven paper (wallpaper?). A [price? number?] sticker on the original plastic wrapping read “32.” Signed W. M.L.
