A comparatively sparse collage of a several ink and pencil drawings surrounding a single cutout photograph. Various classic monsters, a serpent on a tree (which also holds an owl), a unicorn, Medusa, and a several half-drawn figures flank a statue of either a deity or angel. The Greek letters of the title transliterate to “Potnia Theron,” a Greek goddess associated with animals. A printed note describing the statuette and with the further notations “Ephesus” and “Romans” was attached to the lower right corner of the piece.
