Scope and Contents

Summary: Documents interaction of CR with individual consultants, laboratories or agencies testing consumer products. Testing agencies conducted tests for CR on a wide range of products. The consultants also conducted tests, but also assisted with such subjects as food, medicine and photography. Includes correspondence, newsletters, bulletins, notes, pamphlets, test results with CR annotations, and miniaturized photocopies. Concerns durability testing of appliances and other products for CR and cost of these tests. Significant interaction with agencies such as Electrical Testing Lab, Frontier Lab, Foster D. Snell, Southwest Research Institute, Underwriters Laboratory and the U.S. Testing Company Inc. Consultants include Dr. W. Robert Felix, George W. Fiero, Raymond B. Freeman, Walter F. Grueninger, Allen Greenleaf, M. Beckett Howorth, M.D., Beatrice Trum Hunter (foods), and Allen J. Johnson.
