The POCKET MEMORANDA consists of notes written on plain envelopes by Mr. Phelps. Here Mr. Phelps writes down everything that one could imagine pertaining to everyday life. He writes down personal appointments for that day or the next; he simply writes down names of people whom we presume he knew. It should be noted that Mr. Phelps was an avid reader and writer, so one should be forewarned to see that he wrote down what may seem to one as minute detail but nevertheless relevant.
